In the hypnotic state,

you are lead into a state where your body and mind are relaxed. You are generally still aware of your surroundings and you can choose to come out of hypnosis at any time.

You will feel very relaxed, perhaps best described as a dream state. In this state certain parts of your mind are more receptive, particulary those parts working with you to induce beneficial changes. This may mean that you form pictures, as in a daydream, of the things which are being spoken of.

You may vividly experience the associated good feelings though you will always remain in control. If at any time you feel uncomfortable and want to terminate the session you will be perfectly capable of doing so.

After hypnosis you will be returned to full waking awareness and functioning. Most clients are suprised at how far removed the reality of hypnotherapy is from any prior expectation of "mind control", they find the whole experience deeply relaxing and refreshing.
